Buck Drummond

Dr. Buck Drummond graduated from the University of Georgia in 1991 and completed internship training in Los Angeles, CA the following year. He spent the next 17 years in LA as director of overnight emergency services at a busy 24-hour practice. In 2008 he relocated to Savannah, GA to pursue his interests in making art. A few years later, family obligations called him back to the Washington, DC area where he was raised, and as part of his practice there, he started working with military and law enforcement canines. He continues his involvement with working dogs through Paws of Honor, a 501c3 that provides free veterinary care to retired federal services dogs. Dr. Drummond had been practicing the last few years in Connecticut when his husband, Michael, was selected as director of the Biggs Museum of American Art here in Dover.
